Family Connections is offering ED 222 - Constructive Discipline again this Winter. This 3-credit, asynchronous course is grounded in the Pyramid Model framework and focuses on supporting young children’s healthy social–emotional development. Participants will learn how to help children build friendships, interact positively with teachers, and meet classroom expectations in developmentally appropriate ways. The class explores the meaning behind children’s behavior and provides practice with strategies that strengthen emotional literacy and help children manage big feelings. Participants will also learn to create effective behavior support plans that teach new skills and guide children through challenging behaviors. Throughout the course, a coach will be provided to support participants in applying strategies to their own classroom!
