April Showers Bring Storytime Hours

April 27, 2026
Rainy days are perfect for reading—and this April, 74,387 children across Oregon will receive a new Imagination Library book to enjoy.
From bedtime stories to afternoon snuggles, these books are creating special moments for families all across our state.
Nothing grows connections quite like reading together.
In 2024, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library launched a new bilingual (English/Spanish) book option to their program to further inspire a love of reading and make books even more accessible for children and families. Through this program, families in 22 states—Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Washington, and West Virginia—can receive bilingual books designed to support early literacy and language development.
