Pollywog’s Little Free Children’s Library
Pollywog’s Little Free Children’s Library is excited to announce its grand re-opening following a summer remodel. After some weatherization and fresh paint, the library is ready to welcome young readers and their families. This resource aims to foster a love of reading and provide access to books in English and Spanish for children of all ages.
Located on the Linn-Benton Community College’s main campus, outside the Luckiamute Building, Pollywog’s Little Free Children’s Library is part of the global Little Free Library movement, which promotes literacy and community engagement by offering free book exchanges. With a vibrant, child-friendly design, this little free library has a diverse collection of books tailored to young readers, including picture books, early readers, and chapter books.
“We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy of reading,” said LeAnne Trask, Pollywog Coordinator. “Pollywog’s Little Free Children’s Library is designed to be a welcoming space where kids can explore new worlds through books and develop a lifelong love of reading.” The library operates on a “take a book, leave a book” principle, encouraging families to contribute their own gently used books to keep the collection fresh and engaging.
Pollywog’s Little Free Children’s Library reflects the spirit of the Little Free Library organization’s mission to inspire a love of reading and build stronger communities through the joy of books.
