Indigenous First Steps: Students, Family, Culture, Community Project promotes culturally sustaining early learning programs for Oregon's youngest citizens. This 12-credit Early Childhood Professional Development Certificate integrates Native language, culture, histories, and oral stories for recovering and sustaining culture. Coursework:
- Fully online
- Undergraduate or Graduate Credit Offered
- Able to login 3-4 times a week to access course materials and complete assignments
- 4-credits a term (two classes)
- Approximately 10 hours a week
- Connected to Oregon Registry
Scholarship Includes:
- 12-credit Early Childhood Education focused on Indigenous Knowledges
- $300 Stipend per month for books, technology, caregiving, or other supports to attend online learning
- Mentoring
- Individualized support in navigating and registering at PSU
- Career Pathways support
