Free Early Learning Professional Development Opportunities
Playful Math for Early Learners 9-11 am
Research shows that children (and adults) retain more mathematical concepts when taught playfully. This workshop will show many ways that you can engage in playful math and how you can create a playful math learning environment in your program.
Using Beebots with Early Learners 12-3 pm
Beebots are a great way to introduce technology and robotics into your program. Students begin to learn to program, but even more importantly, they will learn computational thinking skills that will greatly impact their future educational development. In this workshop, you will see the Beebot in action and how you can incorporate it into your program.
These workshops will be offered in Albany on Saturday, October 22nd, and in Newport on Saturday, November 19th. Participants who attend both workshops will be provided lunch and their own Beebot.
Space is limited. Register now by contacting connect@linnbenton.edu
