The USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) works to combat hunger. It brings healthy foods to tables across the country for children in child care centers, homes, and afterschool programs as well as adults in day care.
Child care providers can receive reimbursement through the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program when they serve healthy, nutritious foods, reassuring parents that the providers’ top priority is the well-being and development of the children in their care.
Participation in the CACFP is an indicator of quality child care. Child and Adult Care Food Program Serving over 4.5 million children and adults healthy meals and snacks daily.
