Adult Mental Health First Aid is an eight hour course designed to prepare community members to assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis.  Participants will learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn to for help.
Takeaways From the Training:
  • Learn a five-step action plan to help individuals in both crisis and non-crisis situations
  • Learn how to connect individuals in crisis to appropriate services and supports
  • Learn information about common mental health and addiction challenges
  • Receive AMHFA 3-year certification
