Abuse Prevention Summit - Early Recognition

The 2017 summit will be themed "Abuse Prevention: Early Recognition" and will feature keynote speaker Dr. Judy Neighbors, OSU Assistant director of Survivor Advocate Resource Center, Psychologist and Advocate and a presentation from Dr. Carol Chervenak, Family Practice Doctor at the ABC House, serving Linn and Benton Counties. A total of 4 breakout sessions with abuse identification and prevention trainings are available. Your choices will be: Darkness to Light; a two hour child sexual abuse identification course OR your choice of two of the following 50 minute sessions on: domestic violence(intimate partner violence), elder abuse (prevention and recognition), or child abuse (prevention and recognition). We will be honored with a State of the Counties address from local District Attorneys of both Linn and Benton Counties and closing our day with an address from local Senator Sara Gesler.
Workshop will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 8:30-4:00pm at the Suburban Christian Church, 2760 SW 53rd Street, Corvallis. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
