What is Bright by Text?

Bright by Text is a national parent texting program designed to provide expert health and development tips, positive parenting ideas, fun, and easy activities and resources, and even video content directly to parents and caregivers of young children.

Who Should Receive Bright by Text messages?

Parents (including expectant parents), grandparents, babysitters, aunts, uncles, neighbors, friends, teachers, and anyone else caring for a young child (age 0-8 years).

How do we use Bright by Text?

Once families sign up for Bright by Text, they not only get the informative and supportive program messages from Bright by Text but also community messages. The Early Learning Hub, as a Bright by Text partner, can send out community messages to share local family-friendly events, programs, and resources. Community messages can now be targeted to families with children through age 18.

We encourage our partners to let us know if they have an event, program, or resource that could be promoted through the Bright by Text service. We regularly send messages to all subscribed families in Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties.

How to sign up for Bright by Text?

Text ELHKIDS to 274 448 or visit  http://bbtxt.org/3bNtwUF

Parents are only asked for the child’s birth date and zip code. They get messages timed to their child’s exact age and information about local events and resources. Bright by Text is entirely free, but message and data rates may apply.

We appreciate partners who encourage families to sign up for Bright by Text!
