RFA Selection Committee
The Early Learning Hub found that it had a sizeable amount of unallocated funds which would have to be refunded to the State of Oregon if they were not immediately contracted with community partners, so the Governing Board authorized a "Request for Application" (RFA) process so that local agencies present us with Letters of Intent for projects that they wished to pursue during the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. This Committee was created to review all of the Letters of Intent that were received and to score them according to the RFA requirements: ability to move Hub metrics, appropriate for children in the three counties in the 0-6 age bracket, etc.
The result of this Committee's recommendations were presented to the Governing Board on May 5, 2016. The Board voted to accept the Committee's recommendations, with a few caveats.
Members of the Committee include:
- Jennifer Moore, United Way of Benton & Lincoln Counties
- Wendy McKenna, Head Start
- Debbie McPheeters, LBL-ESD
- Lynn Hall, Hub Staff
- Jerri Wolfe, LBCC Parenting Education
- Renee Smith, Family Tree Relief Nursery
- Karen Levy, Linn-Benton Health Equity Alliance
- Rich Waller, Samaritan Health Services
A follow-up meeting was held by this Committee to review revised Letters of Intent and their budget information. These findings will be reported to the Governing Board on June 2, 2016.
