Matt was born in Minnesota, but grew up in Lebanon, Oregon, and graduated from Lebanon Union High School. After working a plethora of production jobs, he realized his strength was working with numbers. He then decided to attend Chemeketa Community College for Accounting. His first accounting position was a payroll for a non-profit that worked with people with disabilities. After 5 years of working in the accounting office, he was given an opportunity to work in management for the same company. 12 years later, Matt decided that he needed to work with numbers again.

Currently, Matt is working as the Accounting Specialist with the Early Learning Hub. In his off time, he enjoys the great outdoors, such as camping, hiking, snowboarding and kayaking down local rivers and lakes. When the weather is permitting, he appreciates motorcycle trips with his friends.
