Reconnecting with Summer Meals

Summer meals programs are funded by the USDA and designed to provide kids and teens ages 18 and under with free, healthy meals during the summer months when school is out of session. Each summer, Oregon hosts summer meal sites for kids 1-18 all over the state. There is no application or registration required to receive a meal. Families do not have to show proof of income.

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has compiled online resources for parents, teachers, and others working with young children about coping with violence and talking to young children about tragedies they learn about in the media.

We encourage you to use NAEYC’s Coping with Violence resource guide with relevant materials to help during this difficult time.

Universal Home Visiting - Community Input requested

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is rolling out a Universally offered Newborn Nurse Home Visiting program in Oregon.  For more information please see https://www.familyconnectsoregon.org/. The Oregon Health Authority values the input of community members on these rules.  The Rules Advisory Committee will have two slots available for community members.
