JumpStart Read for the Record Broke the World Record!!

December 8, 2016

captureOn October 27, JumpStart Read for the Record united over 2.35 million children in the world's largest shared reading experience, and in all 50 states, people read The Bear Ate Your Sandwich, by Julia Sarcone-Roach.

On social media, in classrooms, libraries, community centers, and family rooms, Read for the Record sparked a conversation about the importance of reading and talking with children; of nurturing their curiosity, exploration and growth. These are the ingredients of a high-quality early education that set children on a path to success in school and in life. And these are core elements of Jumpstart’s work with children each day, all across the country.

We appreciate all of the adults who worked together to make this happen!
