Early Learning Hub

Family Engagement Dinner

April 7, 2016

The Early Learning Council held their March meetings in Corvallis, and invited the Early Learning Hub to show them around the three counties and introduce them to families in our area.  In order to meet this request, the Early Learning Hub--along with some of our valued partners--sponsored a Family Engagement Dinner at the Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.  More than sixty people from Kidco Head Start, the Lebanon School District, and Family Tree Relief Nursery attended and had the opportunity to sit down to a nice lasagna dinner with a member of the Early Learning Council and have a casual conversation about what they would like to see happen in their community.  On-site child care was provided by LBCC Parenting Education and Family Tree Relief Nursery, along with a delicious pizza dinner for the kids catered by the Samaritan Lebanon Hospital.

A huge "thank you" to our partner agencies for helping to make this event such a success.  Several members of the Early Learning Council commented on how smoothly the evening's events had gone and how enjoyable the conversation was.

We also appreciate members of the Governing Board and Work Group Committee Chairs who came out to meet the Early Learning Council members at their luncheon on Wednesday afternoon.  We had a great show of support, and it was duly noted by the ELC.  Special thanks to Old Mill Center for hosting the day's events.
