Early Learning Hub

Stakeholders

On March 13, 2014, a group of over thirty representatives met at the Philomath Scout Lodge to discuss a second attempt at creating an RFA proposal for the State of Oregon in order to establish an Early Learning Hub to serve Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties.  These cross-sector representatives came from:

  • Healthcare
  • Early learning and pre-kindergarten services
  • Social/Human services
  • K-12 education
  • Business
  • Community members
  • Families

Support also came from each County’s Commissioners who have self-organized as a consortium to have statutorily designated authority to integrate early learning services across systems and traditional geographic boundaries. The ultimate goal is to achieve higher levels of kindergarten readiness.

Today the Early Learning Hub is a reality, and has a list of over three hundred stakeholders who (to varying degrees) participate in and support the work of the Hub.  Work Groups and Committees carry the work of the Hub forward.
