Marco Benavides

In his current position with the Department of Human Services, Marco administers the DHS District 4; Linn, Benton and Lincoln assuring that all DHS initiatives are developed with adequate consideration for a human service system that is based upon collaboration, integration and shared responsibilities for client outcomes. Participates in DHS statewide program and policy development, including planning and setting department priorities. Provides leadership to Program Managers on policy and program goals, setting expectations for branch performance to achieve program goals including State and Federal program outcome. Established and implemented personnel practices consistent with personnel rules and regulations, OPEU contract, and department Affirmative Action policy.

Marco graduated from the University of Oregon with a MA in Program Development and Management. Marco is also a College Soccer Referee and Martial Arts Instructor. He is trilingual in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
