HART seeking new Executive Director
The HART Community Center, Inc. seeks a motivated and resourceful person to work as the Executive Director for the HART Community Center. This position is 20 hours a week, contingent upon the incumbent’s ability to secure funding. More hours may be available dependent upon additional resources.
The HART Community Center provides services and activities such as parent education, a cooperative pre-school, summer programs and afterschool drop-in’s for youth, county outreach for health services, information and referral, computer and internet access and assistance.
The position operates under the direction of the HART Board of Directors. The successful applicant will implement HART goals, develop and maintain community service programs, oversee administrative functions for the co-op pre-school, and supervise employees and volunteers. The incumbent will seek funding through grants, donations and fundraisers, maintain accurate fiscal records, and administer grants. The ideal applicant must be able to work effectively with the public, city, county and state officials, and granting organizations.
A Bachelors or Associates degree is required, with a minimum of three years of experience in providing services, resources, and activities through community partnerships, experience presenting to groups, and in fiscal management. The applicant shall have strong experience in fundraising, including grant writing, and must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license. The applicant may have experience teaching or administering a preschool, but is not a requirement.
The wage scale for the H.A.R.T. Director is $16.50 - $21.50
